A magazine print campaign with Mo-Des Design to drive dealer inquiries and sales of Merc’s FourStroke and BigFoot outboard lines. The ads shed light on the many eco-friendly aspects of these motors. As four-strokes, they emit no gasoline or oil into waterways, and are quieter than competitive offerings.
Headlines & copy deck. We wanted to move away from the stale old tropes of horsepower and “holeshot,” aka acceleration from standing still. But we still wanted it to have a decent helping of attitude. Though we were limited to only two images for the two campaigns, the client didn’t change a word of the copy.
