About the company
Toronto-based L.V. Lomas is a respected chemicals & ingredients dealer serving the manufacturing, foods and consumer goods sectors. In addition to a broad product line, its value-added services include warehousing, global logistics and, most recently, a new R&D facility. With consumer packaged goods companies seeking to cut costs, many have phased out their own R&D facilities. Lomas has stepped in to fill that gap and partner with these clients in new product development and test-marketing.
Lomas required a short video to showcase its just-opened Technical Centre, state-of-the art development lab and kitchen, located adjacent to its main operations. The objective was to present Lomas as the go-to partner in the development of new personal care, food & beverage, pet food and other consumer goods. Creative partner on the project was Jackson Marketing.
Video concept & script. For this project, I stayed with a straight-up corporate tonality, as befits a company of Lomas’ stature offering its services to major CPG clients. Still, we managed to get in a few creative brushstrokes here and there.
Paul had already worked with Lomas for over a decade handling all Lomas’ copywriting and content requirements. For this video, he applied his knowledge of the business to convey the newly built Tech Centre a gold-standard service offering to our markets.
